The Little Daughter of the Divine Will

 VOLUME 32 

October 1, 1933 

Enchanting scenes that Jesus enjoys in the soul who Lives in His Will.  Continuous call that God and the creature make.

             The Divine Volition never leaves me.  It seems to me that It is always inside and outside of me, as in act of surprising me, because It wants to place Its Act in everything that I do.  If I pray, if I suffer, if I labor, and even if I sleep, It wants to give me Its Divine Rest in my sleep.  It always wants to give Itself something to do, and in everything It calls me by telling me:  “Let Me descend into the depth of all your acts, and I will make you Rise into the heights of My Act.  We will compete:  you to Ascend, and I to descend.”

            But who can say what the Divine Will made felt in my soul?  Its Excessive Love, Its Condescension, Its continuous occupying Itself over my poor soul.

            But while I found myself under the Empire of the Divine Volition re-pouring Itself over me, my highest Good Jesus, surprising me, told me:  “My good daughter, there is no scene that moves Me and enraptures Me more, than to see the human littleness under the Empire of My Will:  the Divine in the human, the Great in the littleness, the Strong in the weak, that hiding in each other, Conquer each other in turn.  It is so Beautiful, so enchanting, that I find the Pure Joys, the Divine Happiness, that the creature can give Me, even though I see that she brings My same Will to Me in hand, and she brings It to Me by means of the channel of the human will.  If you knew how much this delights Me, in order to please Me you would let yourself always be Conquered by My Will. I can say that I leave Heaven, while I remain in order to come to enjoy the Pure Joys that My Divine Will knows how to give Me in the little circle of the creature on earth. 

“You must know that one who does My Divine Will, and lets Its Life flow in her acts, continuously calls God and all His Attributes.  God hears Himself always called by the creature:  now she calls Him because she wants His Power, now she wants His Love, now because she wants His Sanctity, His Light, His Goodness, His Imperturbable Peace.  In sum, she remains always calling Him because she wants of His, and God always remains waiting for her in order to give what she asks.  And in order to exchange her, He feels called, and He Calls her, in order to show Trust to her and tell her:  ‘What else do you want of My Divine Being?  Take what you want, rather, as you call Me, I already prepare for you My Power, My Love, My Light, My Sanctity, that is wanted in your act.’

            “In fact, God Calls the soul and the soul calls God, and this always calling each other in order to ask and receive, and God in order to give, forms the Life of My Will in the creature.  It matures her, and makes her grow, and forms the sweet Enchantment of her Creator Himself.  One continuous Act encloses such Power, that God does not know how to unbind Himself from the creature, nor she from God.  Rather they feel the Irresistible need of remaining Bound with each other.  And only My Will knows how to produce these continuous Acts that never cease and form the True Character of Living in My Will.   On the other hand, a changeable character, a broken work, is the true sign of living of human volition, that does not know how to give either Firmness, or Peace, and does not know how to produce anything other than thorns and bitternesses.”

The Little Daughter of the Divine Will

 VOLUME 12

May 1, 1920

The Sanctity of one who lives in the Divine Will is a continuous ‘Glory Be’. One who lives in the Divine Will, living on a high place, must bear the pains of those who live down below.

My misery makes itself felt more and more. I was saying in my interior: ‘My Jesus, what a life mine is!’ And He, without giving me time to say anything else, quickly answered: “My daughter, for one who lives in my Will, Sanctity has only one point – a continuous ‘Glory be’, followed by ‘As it was in beginning, it is now and ever shall be, world without end.’ There is nothing in which she does not give glory to God – complete in everything, always stable, always equal, always queen, without ever changing. This Sanctity is not subject to setbacks or losses – but to always reigning. Therefore, Its foundation is the ‘Glory be’, and Its prerogative is the ‘As it was in the beginning, etc.’”

As I continued to lament about His privations and the subtractions of suffering – while He gives it out abundantly to others – my always lovable Jesus came out from within my interior, and placing His head on my shoulder, all afflicted, told me: “My daughter, one who lives in my Will lives on a high place; and one who lives on a high place can look down below with more clarity. She has to take part in the decisions, in the afflictions and in everything which befits persons who live on a high place. Don’t you see this in the world? Sometimes only father and mother do – and sometimes also the eldest child is able to take part in the decisions and in the sufferings of the parents. While they are under the nightmare of painful sufferings, uncertainties, intrigues, losses, the other little children don’t know anything about it; rather, they let them play, and continue the course of ordinary family life, not wanting to embitter those tender lives, without a useful purpose for them, and for the parents.

The same happens in the order of Grace. One who is little, and still growing, lives down below; therefore, purges are necessary in order to make her grow in sanctity. It would be as if one wanted to talk about business, intrigues, pains, to the little ones of the family – they would be stunned, and would not understand a thing. But one who lives in my Will, living on a high place, must bear the pains of those who live down below, see their dangers, help them, take such serious decisions as to make one tremble, while they remain tranquil.

Therefore, calm yourself ; we will have a communal life in my Will, and together with Me you will take part in the sufferings of the human family. You will watch over the great storms which will arise again; and while they play in the midst of danger, you will cry with Me over their misfortune.”

The Little Daughter of the Divine Will

 VOLUME 4 

August 2, 1902

During the whole course of His life, Jesus redid everything, for all in general and for each one individually. 

This morning, after letting me struggle very much, all of a sudden my adorable Jesus came, spreading rays of light. I was invested by that light and, I don’t know how, I found myself inside of Jesus Christ. Who can say how many things I comprehended inside that Most Holy Humanity? I can only say that His Divinity directed His Humanity in everything; and since in one single instant the Divinity can do as many acts as each of us can do in the whole period of one’s life, and as many acts as one wants to do, I comprehended with clarity that, because the Divinity operated in the Humanity of Jesus Christ, during the whole course of His life blessed Jesus redid for all in general and for each one individually everything that each one is obliged to do toward God, in such a way that He adored God for each one in particular, He thanked, repaired, glorified for each one, He praised, suffered, prayed for each one. And I comprehended that everything that each one must do has already been done before in the Heart of Jesus Christ.

 VOLUME 33

June 6, 1935

How one who Lives in the Volition of God has God Himself in her power.  The Queen of Heaven goes around through all the nations in order to place Her children in safety.

            My poor mind continues its flight in the Interminable Light of the Divine Volition, there is nothing either in Heaven, or on earth, that is not Its Birth, and everything and everyone have something to say about He who has generated them.  Rather they never tire of narrating His Eternal Origin, His Unreachable Sanctity, His Love that always generates, without ever ceasing, His Fiat that always speaks—It speaks to the mind, It speaks in the heart, It speaks on the tongue, and now It speaks with articulate voices, now with moans, now with supplicating, now with Empire, now with such sweetness as to move the hardest and most obstinate hearts.  My God, what Power Your Volition contains.  O please! make it that I always Live of It. 

            But while I thought this, my sweet Jesus, making me His brief little visit, with an Indescribable Goodness told me:  “My daughter, My Will!  My Will!  It is everything, It does everything, It gives everything.  Who can ever say that he has not received everything from It?  You must know that the creature herself possesses as much sanctity for however much she is in order, in rapport, with My Will.  So much more does she elevate herself to Union with God, for however more she is united with Him.  Her values, her merits, are measured by the relations that she has had with My Will.  In fact, the whole foundation, the base, the substance, the Origin of the goods in the creature, depends on how many acts she has done of My Will, on how much she knows about It.  In fact, if she has let My Volition enter in all her acts, she can say:  ‘Everything is Holy, everything is Pure and Divine in me.’  We can give her everything, even Our Life into her power. 

            “On the other hand, if she has done nothing of My Will and knows nothing, We do not have anything to give her, because she does not merit anything since she lacks the seed to generate the Good that pertains to Us.  So she has not one right to receive pay from Her Celestial Father.  If she has not labored in Our Field, We can say:  ‘I do not know you.’  Therefore, if in everything, or at least partly, she has not done anything of My Will, Heaven is closed for the creature, and she does not have any right to the Celestial Fatherland.  This is the reason why We insist so much that Our Will be always done, that It be known, because We want to populate Heaven with Our beloved children.  And since everything has come forth from Us, We want that everything returns into Our Divine Womb.”

            So after this I continued to think about the Divine Will, and I prayed that It would hurry and that with Its Omnipotence that can do everything, It would conquer all the obstacles and would make His Kingdom come and that His Will would Reign on earth as It does in Heaven.  But while I thought this, before my mind, my sweet Jesus made seen so many mournful and horrifying things, before which the hardest hearts are shaken, and the most obstinate knocked down.  Everything was terror and fright.  I remained so afflicted as to feel myself dying, and I prayed that He would spare so many scourges.

            And my beloved Jesus, as if He would have pity on my affliction, told me:  “My daughter, courage, everything will serve for the Triumph of My Will.  If I strike, it is because I want to heal.  My Love is so much, that when I cannot conquer by way of Love and of Graces, I seek to conquer by way of terror and fright.  The human weakness is so much that many times he does not care about My Graces, he is deaf to My Voice, he laughs at My Love.  But it is enough to touch his skin, to remove the things necessary to natural life, that it abases his haughtiness.  He feels so humiliated that he makes himself a rag, and I do what I want with him.  Especially if they do not have a perfidious and obstinate will, one chastisement is enough—to see himself at the brink of the grave—that he returns to Me into My arms. 

            “You must know that I always Love My children, My beloved creatures.  I would eviscerate Myself in order to not see them stricken, so much so that in the mournful times that will come, I have placed them all into the hands of My Celestial Mama.  I have entrusted them to Her, so that She keeps them secure for Me under Her mantle.  I will give to Her all those that She will want, death itself will not have power over those who will be in the custody of My Mama.”

            Now while He said this, my dear Jesus made me see with deeds that the Sovereign Queen descended from Heaven with an indescribable Majesty and a Tenderness all Maternal, and She went around in the midst of creatures in all the nations and She marked Her dear children, and those who must not be touched by the scourges.  Each one my Celestial Mama touched, the scourges had no power to touch those creatures.  Sweet Jesus gave the right to His Mama of placing in safety whomever She pleased.  How moving it was to see the Celestial Empress going around through all the parts of the world, that She took them in Her Maternal Hands, She entrusted them to Her bosom, she hid them under Her Mantle, so that no evil could harm those whom Her Maternal Goodness kept in Her custody, guarded and defended.  O! if everyone could see with how much Love and Tenderness the Celestial Queen did this office, they would cry from consolation, and they would Love She who Loves them so much.

The Little Daughter of the Divine Will

 VOLUME 7 

July 3, 1906

The Will of God is the paradise of the soul on earth, and the soul who does the Will of God forms the paradise of God on earth.

Having received Communion, I felt all united and clasped to my most divine Jesus, and while He clasped me, I rested in Him and He rested in me. Then He told me: “My beloved, the soul who lives in my Will rests, because the Divine Will does everything for her, and while It operates for her, I find the most beautiful rest in her. So, the Will of God is rest for the soul, and rest for God in the soul. While resting in my Will, the soul remains always attached to my mouth, and suckles divine life into herself, making of it her continuous food. The Will of God is the paradise of the soul on earth, and the soul who does the Will of God comes to form the paradise of God on earth. The Will of God is the only key that opens the treasures of the divine secrets, and the soul acquires such familiarity in the house of God as to dominate as if she were the owner.”

Who can say what I comprehended about this Divine Will? Oh, Will of God, how admirable, lovable, desirable, beautiful You are! It is enough to say that, being in You, I feel all my miseries and all my evils being dissolved, and I acquire a new being, with the fullness of all the divine goods.
