“The Sun of My Will”: the opinion of the bishops

The Sun of the DW book

Posted 1/26/16 on the Official Luisa Piccarreta website

The book about the life of Luisa Piccarreta, which introduces the reader to a first acquaintance of the divine message entrusted to her, receives approval even from Church authorities

Behind her ordinary, simple life, made of a few daily acts, as working and praying, an extraordinary scene opens, a mystical life, full of deep spirituality that only Luisa  and the priests who were at her side knew

“The seas” of the Divine Will to which Luisa refers in her writings are not yet known. God has his own time and He alone knows when His Kingdom will reach its fulfillment. We need to pray that this happens, spreading those that are our knowledges, after “studying” to be faithful to the message left by the Servant of God in communion with the Church.

With Luisa at our side we are sure to take the right steps. Her mission, in addition to that of “victim soul”, is to bring to everyone the gift of the Divine Will that God made her to experience at first hand to testimony “living as a son and not as a servant.”

Now, it’s time that also others receive this Gift!

Already in October 2005, at the conclusion  of the Diocesan inquiry, our Archbishop Mons. Giovanni Battista Pichierri had “felt the need to elaborate a biographical sketch  of the Mystic from Corato, which has been achieved in 2014 with the first official publication of the biography “The Sun of my Will” by Prof. Maria Rosaria Del Genio (LEV). Through a conscientious work of research and study Prof.Del Genio, an expert on mystique and the lives of saints, gave birth to the above – mentioned volume, a valuable “document” offering, anyone reads it, the opportunity to know the life and therefore the spirituality of Luisa Piccarreta, so that “the message of the Divine Will may radiate throughout the world … fiat voluntas tua sicut in caelo et in terra, as claimed by Mons. Pichierri in his afterword to the text.

He himself wanted to share this “extraordinary message ” with the bishops from Puglia and the prelates interested in the Cause for beatification of the little daughter of the Divine Will, gifting them with the book. Many responses and opinions about it came to Mons. Pichierri that he faithfully turned to the Association Little Children of the Divine Will.

Here are some of them, with the promise of further updates:

“Thank you for the gift that I really appreciated … I read with attention and spiritual utility the biography of Piccarreta … This beautiful book shows the extraordinary figure of “The Saint from Corato “… example of a life dedicated to the love of Christ in a state, at the same time, of mystical tension and suffering. The book also highlights the particular message and spirituality of the Servant of God on adherence to the Divine Will … The great aspiration of us all is certainly attend the Beatification of the Servant of God … we look forward to the conclusion of the work … to know exactly the theological and mystical vision of Piccarreta. “(Card. Francesco Monterisi- CTV).

“I received the book on Luisa Piccarreta and I thank you wholeheartedly for this initiative, which has become indispensable to make this ” little servant of the Divine Will. ” fully known.
It ‘s true that when the Good and the Truth come from God and reside in humble souls who are completely entrusted to the Church, they cannot remain immersed in darkness… Providence has its way… I remember when with Mons. Cassati we went to the Congregation for the Cause of Saints … now finding myself  in front of a book written by a respected author and researcher, published by Libreria Editrice Vaticana was a surprise that filled me with joy. “(Msgr. Michele Seccia-Bishop Teramo-Atri).

“Sending you my regards, I leave you all in the immense sea of the Divine Will” .

FIAT!

Jesus is the Lamp of all in Heaven.

My benign Jesus continues to come.  After I received Communion, He renewed in me the pains of the crucifixion, and I was left so numb that I felt the need for a relief, but I did not dare to ask for it.  After a little while He came back as a baby and He kissed me all over; milk flowed from His lips, and I drank in large gulps that most sweet milk from His most pure lips.  Now, while I was doing this, He told me:  “I am the flower of the Celestial Eden, and the fragrance I spread is such that at my perfume the whole of Heaven remains captivated.  And since I am the Lamp that sends light to all, so much so, as to keep them immersed in it, all of my Saints draw their little lamps from Me.  So, there is no light in Heaven which has not been drawn from this Lamp.”  Ah, yes! There is not even the smell of virtue without Jesus; and even if one went up to the highest heavens, there is no light without Jesus!

 Book of Heaven

Portentous effects of uniting our lives with that of Jesus

VOLUME 4

 January 6, 1902

Portentous effects of uniting our lives with that of Jesus. A few words about death.

As I was in my usual state, after much waiting, my most loving Jesus came for a little while, and placing Himself near me, told me: “My daughter Luisa), one who tries to conform to my life in everything, does nothing other than add one more and distinct fragrance to everything I did in my life, in such a way as to perfume Heaven and the whole Church; and even the evil themselves feel this celestial fragrance flow. This is so true, that all the Saints are nothing other than many fragrances, and are that which most cheers the Church and Heaven, because they are distinct among themselves. Not only this, but if one tries to continue my life by doing what I did wherever he can – and where he cannot, at least with the desire and the intention – I keep it in my hands as if I were continuing my whole life in that soul, not as something past, but as if I were now living. This is a treasure in my hands, because as I double the treasure of everything I operated, I dispose it for the good of the whole of mankind. So, would you not want to be one of these?”

I saw myself all confused and did not know what to answer, and Jesus disappeared from me. But a little later He came back, and I also saw many people who greatly feared death. On seeing this, I said: ‘My lovable Jesus, it must be a defect in me, this not fearing death. I see that others fear it so much, while to me, instead, thinking only that death will unite me with You forever and will put an end to the martyrdom of my hard separation, the thought of death not only gives no fear, but is of relief; it gives me peace and I make feast, disregarding all the other consequences which death brings with itself.’ And Jesus: “Daughter, in truth, that extravagant fear of dying is foolishness, when one has all my merits, virtues and works as passport in order to enter Heaven, since I made a donation of it to everyone. Those who have added from their own, then, profit even more from this donation of Mine; and with all this substance, what fear can one have of death? Rather, with this most safe passport the soul can enter wherever she wants, and out of regard for her passport, everyone respects her and lets her pass. As for you (Luisa), then, your not fearing death at all comes from your having dealt with Me, and having experienced how sweet and dear is the union with the highest Good. Know, however, that the most pleasing homage that can be offered to Me, is desiring to die in order to be united with Me. This is the most beautiful disposition in order for the soul to be purged and to pass straight on, with no interval, through the way of Heaven.” Having said this, He disappeared.

1/26 25th anniversary of Episcopal Ordination Mons Giovan Battista Pichierri – To testify to the gospel of God’s grace

25th anniversary of Episcopal ordination Mons Giovan Battista Pichierri – To testify to the gospel of God’s grace

Posted 1/23/16 on the Official Website for the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta

Dear friends,

January 26, our Archbishop Giovan Battista Pichierri will celebrates the 25th anniversary of his Episcopal ordination.

The Association “Luisa Piccarreta –  Little Children of the Divine Will”, on the occasion of this anniversary, wants to express with all of you, dear friends, who follow us on this website, best wishes to His Excellency, thanking him for his Episcopal ministry bestowed upon the Diocese of Trani-Barletta- Bisceglie, Titular of Nazareth, especially for his dedication during these years to the cause of Beatification of Luisa.

The Association sees in Mons. Pichierri its own father in faith who accompanies and stimulates it continuously, so that, first of all, it can live and testify of the gift of living in the Divine Will.

His numerous visits to the Association and his ongoing commitment to promote the cause of  beatification and canonization are a sign of his bond with the figure of Luisa, daughter of this land of Puglia who the Lord has chosen as a humble instrument to make known the Gift of Living in the Divine Will throughout the world.

Let us not forget that it was Mons. Pichierri who on October 29, 2005, in the presence of thousands of people from around the world, closed the diocesan inquiry into the life, virtue and reputation of Sanctity of the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta.

Mons. Giovan Battista Pichierri was born in Sava  (province of Taranto) on February 12, 1943.

After concluding his studies at the diocesan seminary and then at the regional seminary in Molfetta, he was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Oria (Brindisi province) on August 30, 1967.

He completed his theological education by attending the Ecumenical Faculty of Bari, where in 1970 he obtained his license in Ecumenical Theology.

He put the first ten years of his priestly ministry at the service of the regional and diocesan minor seminaries for the High School in Taranto.

Here, he served at first as educator and then as rector.

After returning to the diocese in 1977, he served the diocesan Church working directly with Bishops De Giorgi (now Cardinal and Archbishop Emeritus of Palermo) and Franco and in the range of the sequence between them as “Delegate ad omnia” of Apostolic Administrator Voto, Bishop of Castellaneta.

Since 1982, he was appointed Archpriest by Mons. Armando Franco, and was entrusted with the pastoral care of the parish of SS. Trinity in Manduria, where he carried out his service until March12 1991.

In 1986,  Mons. Franco himself called him to collaborate more directly in the guide of diocese entrusting him with the role of Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia, in addition to that of pastor.

Throughout the years of his ministry he taught Catholic religion in public primary and lower secondary school, in the Lyceum and commercial and technical institutes.

On December 21, 1990 the Holy Father John Paul II  appointed him Bishop of the diocese of Cerignola-Ascoli Satriano (Foggia Province).

On January 26,  1991 he was ordained Bishop in the Cathedral Church of Manduria by the Bishop of the diocese, Mons. Armando Franco.

On  March 17, 1991 he entered the diocese.

On November 13, 1999 the Holy Father John Paul II transferred him to the Archdiocese of Trani-Barletta-Bisceglie.

He was installed in it on Jan. 26, 2000, on the ninth anniversary of this Episcopal ordination.

We are grateful to the Lord because the ministry of our Archbishop has been “to testify to the gospel of God’s grace”, as the Acts of the Apostles – Chapter 20, 24 – remind us. Just as his predecessors did consistently with Luisa at first and then with the Association, he has kept the seal of the ecclesial spirit on this small seed destined to bear the fruit of the Kingdom.

Medjugorje Message today (1/25/16)

“Dear children! Also today I am calling all of you to prayer. You cannot live without prayer, because prayer is a chain which brings you closer to God. Therefore, little children, in humility of heart return to God and to His commandments so that with all of your heart you are able to say: as it is in Heaven so may it be on earth. You, little children, are free to in freedom decide for God or against Him. See where satan wants to pull you into sin and slavery. Therefore, little children, return to my heart so that I can lead you to my Son Jesus who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
