6/8 Examination of Conscience Based on Luisa’s Reflections and Practices – For The Hours of The Passion

LUISA SEES JESUS ON THE CROSS

Examination of Conscience

Based on Luisa’s Reflections and Practices

For The Hours of the Passion

5PM—Jesus takes leave of His Most Holy Mother

Before starting any action, let us always invoke the blessing of God, so that our actions may have the touch of the Divinity, and may attract His blessings not only on us, but upon all creatures.

6PM—Jesus departs from His Most Holy Mother and goes toward the Cenacle

Are we ready to sacrifice even the most legitimate and holy affections in order to fulfill the Divine Volition?

Do we walk on the street being modest and composed, so as to be an example for others?

What do we say in our conversations?

When the opportunity arises, do we make the passion of the Divine Redeemer the object of our conversations?

Do we place in our conversations the intention of relieving Jesus Christ?

Do we try to do them in the Will of God, infusing in others the spirit of Jesus Christ?

7PM—The Legal Supper

And when we pray, can we say that the angels were pleased; that we have been recollected and reverent, in such a way that they were joyously carry our prayers to Heaven, just as they carried those of our Jesus?

Or do they rather remain saddened?

8PM—The Eucharistic Supper

What should we do in our hiddenness? In order to become similar to Jesus Christ, we must hide everything in Him: thoughts, glances, words, heart beats, affections, desires, steps and works; even our prayers—we should hide them in the prayers of Jesus.

9PM—First hour of Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane

In order to conform to Jesus in everything, we must go back into ourselves, applying these reflections to ourselves: in all that we do, can we say that there is a continuous flow of love running between us and God?

But do all these actions run toward God with love?

Does Jesus find in us the sweet enchantment of His Love running toward Him, so that, enraptured by this enchantment, He may overflow with us with more abundant love?

Do we let ourselves be worked by the divine hands, as the Humanity of Jesus let Itself be worked?

All that we feel within ourselves—inspirations, mortifications, graces—is nothing other than a crafting of love. Do we take those things as God wants?

Do we give Jesus the freedom to work, or by taking everything in a human manner and as meaningless, do we rather reject the divine crafting, forcing it to bend its arms?

Do we abandon ourselves in His arms as though we were dead in order to receive all the blows which the Lord will dispose for our sanctification?

10PM—Second hour of Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane

Do we always pray, in whatever mood we may be—cold, hard, tempted?

Do we give Jesus the pains of our soul as reparation and relief in order to copy Him completely, thinking that each mood of ours is a pain of Jesus?

Do we lose heart, or do we remain at the feet of Jesus with courage, giving Him all that we suffer, so that Jesus may find His own Humanity in us?

That is, are we His Humanity for Jesus?

What did the Humanity of Jesus do? It glorified Its Father, expiated, pleaded the salvation of souls.  And we—do we enclose within ourselves these three intentions of Jesus in everything we do, so as to be able to say, ‘We enclose in ourselves all the humanity of Jesus Christ?’

Do we place in our darkness the intention of making the light of truth shine in others?

And when we pray with fervor, do we place the intention of melting the ice of many hearts hardened in sin?

11PM—Third hour of Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane

And we–do we ask for help from Heaven in any painful circumstance?

And if we turn also to creatures, do we do this with order, with those who can comfort us in a saintly way?

Are we at least resigned, if we do not receive those comforts which we are hoping for, in using the indifference of creatures to abandon ourselves more in the arms of Jesus?

Jesus was comforted by an Angel. And we—can we say that we are the angels of Jesus by remaining around Him to comfort Him and share in His bitterness?

12AM—Jesus is arrested

In the deceptions, in the betrayals of creatures, are we ready to forgive as Jesus forgave?

Do we take from the hands of God all the evil that we receive from creatures?

Are we ready to do all that Jesus wants from us?

In the crosses, in the strains, can we say that our patience imitates that of Jesus?

1AM—Thrown from a cliff, Jesus falls into the Cedron stream

And we—do we abandon ourselves at the mercy of the Will of God?

In our weaknesses and falls, are we ready to stand up again to throw ourselves in the arms of Jesus?

And we—do we abhor any stain and shadow of sin?

Are we ready to give shelter to Jesus in our heart, not to make Him feel the nausea which other souls give Him with sin, and to compensate for the nausea that we ourselves have given Him many times?

2AM—Jesus is presented to Annas

And we—are we intrepid and courageous when it comes to glorifying the Lord, or do we let ourselves be won by human respect?

In our speaking, do we always look for the glory of God?

In order to exalt the glory of God, do we bear everything with patience like Jesus?

Do we always avoid speaking ill of the neighbor, and do we excuse him if we hear that others run him down?

Do we watch over the Heart of Jesus, so that He may not receive any offense which has not been repaired by us?

Do we watch over ourselves in everything, so that our thought, gaze, word, affection, heartbeat and desire may be as many sentries around Jesus, watching over His Heart, and repairing for all the offenses?

And in order to do this, do we pray Jesus to watch over each of our acts, and to help us watch over our own heart?

Are we ready to answer when our Jesus calls us?

3AM—Jesus in the house of Caiphas

And we—when the Lord allows that we be slandered and unjustly accused, do we look only for God, Who knows our innocence; or do we rather beg esteem and honor from creatures?

Does truth always arise on our lips?

Are we adverse to any trick and lie?

Do we bear with patience, the mockeries and confusions that creatures give us?

Are we ready to give our life for their salvation?

4AM—Jesus at the mercy of the soldiers

And we—are we constant during repeated sufferings, or do we lament, get irritated and lose peace; that peace of heart which is necessary to allow Jesus to find a happy dwelling place within us?

Do we look at those who offend us with the same love [as Jesus]?

Is the love which we show them so great as to be a voice for their hearts—so powerful as to convert them to Jesus?

5AM—Jesus in prison

And we—are we happy to be alone with Jesus, or do we look for the company of creatures?

Isn’t Jesus alone our only breath and our only heartbeat?

Are we happy to be bound by Jesus in that prison in which His love places us—that is, obscurity, oppressions and other things?

Do we feel the firmness and promptness to imprison ourselves in Jesus for love of Him?

Do we long for Jesus alone to come and keep us company, to free us from the chains of every passion, and to bind us with the stronger chains of His Heart?

Do we place our pains as a court around suffering Jesus in order to remove from Himthe spit and mud which sinners send Him?

Is our prayer constant with Jesus?

6AM—Jesus before Caiphas again, who confirms His condemnation to death and sends Him to Pilate

When we go out, do we let ourselves be directed by Jesus?

Is our composure an example for others, and our steps like magnets which call souls around Jesus?

Is our life always the same or do we change it for the worse, depending on the encounters that we have?

7AM—Jesus before Pilate, Pilate sends Him to Herod.

Do we feel the same with everyone?

Do we try to conquer our natural evil if we don’t like someone?

In dealing with creatures, do we always try to make Jesus known, and to make the light of truth shine in them?

And we—when we are slandered, mocked, insulted, or derided, do we think that the Lord wants to give us a divine likeness?

In the pains, in the scorns, and in all that our poor heart may feel, do we think that it is Jesus Who gives us sorrow with His touch, Who transforms us into Himself with His touch, and gives us His likeness?

And as suffering returns to us, do we think that Jesus, looking at us, is not satisfied with us, and therefore gives us another squeeze in order to render us completely like Him?

Following the example of Jesus, can we say that we have dominion over ourselves; and that in adversities, we prefer to remain silent instead of answering?

Do we ever let ourselves be won by curiosity?

8AM—Jesus is brought back to Pilate and put after Barabbas. Jesus is scourged.

And we—are we stripped of everything?

Do we let ourselves be bound by love?

Don’t we see that in that gave [of Jesus] there is also a reproach for us, since we too contributed to binding Him?

And we—are we pure in the mind, in the gaze, in the words, in the affections, so as not to add more blows on that innocent Body?

Are we always bound to Jesus, so as to be ready to defend Him, when creatures strike Him with their offenses?

9AM—Jesus is crowned with thorns. Presented to the people: “Ecce Homo!” Jesus is condemned to death.

And we—do we avoid sentiments of pride?

Do we attribute to God the good that we do?

Do we consider ourselves as being inferior to others?

Is our mind always empty to any other thought in order to give rise to grace?

When Jesus makes Himself felt in our mind and in our heart, do we reciprocate His inspirations, or do we place them into oblivion?

And we—do we respect all the holy things?

Do we use all the reverence which befits them, as if we were touching Jesus Christ Himself?

Are we ready to accept any pain to prevent Jesus from being offended and from suffering?

How do we sympathize with the pains which Jesus suffers in seeing many souls snatched from His Heart?

Do we make His pains our own so as to relieve Him from all that He suffers?

Do we strive to let Jesus live on earth?

Are we ready to give our own life so that beloved Jesus may be relived of all the offenses, or do we rather imitate the Jews, people so much favored—almost as our own souls, which are loved so much by Jesus—and shout like them, “Crucifigatur” (let Him be crucified)?

10AM—Jesus takes up the cross and walks toward Calvary, where He is stripped.

And we—do we love suffering like Jesus?

Can we say that our heartbeats echo His divine heartbeats, and that we to ask for our cross?!

When we suffer, do we have the intention of becoming companions of Jesus in order to relieve Him from the weight of His Cross?

How do we accompany Him?

As He receives insults, are we always ready to give Him our little sufferings as relief for His pains?

In working, in praying, and when we feel the hardship of our suffering under the weight of interior pains, do we let our pain fly to Jesus, which, like a veil, may dry up His sweat and cheer Him, as we make His hardship our own?

11AM—Jesus is crucified

And we—do we rest in Him in all our pains?

Can we say that we prepare a bed for Jesus in our heart with our patience and with our love?

Do we remain completely crucified to Him, at least with our main senses?

Do we always keep our mind, our heart, and all our being as nailed with the nails of His Most Holy Will?

Do we look with love at those who offend us, for love of Him?

12PM–First Hour of Agony on the Cross–The first word of Jesus

And we—do we try to live detached from the world, from creatures, and from all that tastes of earth?

Does our love for Jesus reach the extent of finding rest in suffering?

Do we make the prayer Jesus our own in order to continuously excuse sinners before the Father, and to plead for mercy for them, even for those who may have offended us?

1PM—Second Hour of Agony on the Cross—second, third and fourth word of Jesus

And we—do we pray always for the souls of the so many dying who need a prayer, so that hell may be closed to them, and the gates of Heaven opened?

And we—do we give everything to Jesus?

In all that we do—prayers, actions and other thing—do we always have the intention of absorbing new love in ourselves, so as to give everything back to Him?

When the lord gives us fervor, light and love, do we use them for the good of others?

Do we try to enclose souls in this light and in this fervor, so as to move the Heart of Jesus to convert them; or do we selfishly keep His graces for ourselves alone?

What use do we make of the great gift of His Mama, Whom He gave to us?

Do we make the love of Jesus, the tendernesses of Jesus and all that Jesus did our own, so as to make His Mama content?

Can we say that our divine Mother finds in us the contentment that she found in Jesus?

Are we always close to her, as faithful children; do we obey her and imitate her virtues?

Do we try anything in order not to escape from her maternal gaze, so that She may keep us always clinging to Jesus?`

In everything we do, do we always call the gazes of the celestial Mother to guide us, so as to be able to act in a saintly way, as true children of hers, under her compassionate gaze?

And we—can we say that our love for souls is similar to that of Jesus?

Are our prayers, our pains and all our most tiny acts united to the acts and to the prayers of Jesus in order to snatch souls from hell?

How do we sympathize with Jesus in His immense sorrow?

2PM—Third hour of Agony on the Cross—fifth, sixth and seventh word of Jesus–the death of Jesus

Do we burn with thirst for Jesus?

Do our thoughts and affections have always the purpose of quenching His ardent thirst?

And we—do we strive, in each thing, to be a continuous consummation of love for Jesus?

Do all of our acts, words and thoughts move us to be consumed for love of Jesus?

Do we fulfill the Will of God in everything?

Do we abandon ourselves perfectly in His Volition without looking at whether it is advantageous for us or not, just being content to find ourselves abandoned in His most holy arms?

Is the dying to ourselves a continuous love for Jesus?

Can we say that, although we live, we do not live; that we are dead to everything in order to live not from our own life, but only from the life of Jesus?

Does all that we do, think, desire and love recall the living of Jesus within us, so as to make our word, our step, our desire and our thought die completely in Jesus?

3PM—Jesus, dead, is transfixed by the blow of a lance–The deposition from the Cross

And we—do we let ourselves be wounded in everything by the love of Jesus; or do we rather let ourselves be wounded by the love of creatures, by pleasures, and by attachment to ourselves?

And we—do we deposit all our fears, our doubts and our anxieties in the arms of our Mama?

Do we let Jesus rest by casting away our fear and our agitations?

4PM—The Burial of Jesus—Most Holy desolate Mary

And we—do we hid from the gazes of creatures; are we indifferent if everyone forgets us?

In holy things, do we remain indifferent, with that holy indifference which leads us continuously to Him?

And do we form with our constancy a sweet chain, so as to attract Him toward us?

Is our gaze buried in the gaze of Jesus, so we look at nothing but that which Jesus wants?

Is our voice buried in the voice of Jesus, so that if we want to speak, we do not speak but with the tongue of Jesus?

Are our steps buried in His, so that as we walk, we may leave the mark of the steps of Jesus, not our own?

And is our heart buried in His, in order to love and desire as His Heart loves and desires?

5/20 Corpus Christi Novena Starts Today, May 20th

5/20 Corpus Christi Novena – Starts Today, May 20th!

Novena Honoring the Body and Blood of ChristI thank You, Jesus, my Divine Redeemer, for coming upon the earth for our sake, and for instituting the adorable Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist in order to remain with us until the end of the world.
I thank You for hiding beneath the Eucharistic species Your infinite majesty and beauty, which Your Angels delight to behold, so that I might have courage to approach the throne of Your Mercy.
I thank You, most loving Jesus, for having made Your- self my food, and for uniting me to Yourself with so much love in this wonderful Sacrament that I may live in You.
I thank You, my Jesus, for giving Yourself to me in this Blessed Sacrament, and so enriching it with the treasures of Your love that You have no greater gift to give me.
I thank You not only for becoming my food but also for offering Yourself as a continual sacrifice to Your Eternal Father for my salvation.
I thank You, Divine Priest, for offering Yourself as a Sacrifice daily upon our altars in adoration and homage to the Most Blessed Trinity, and for making amends for our poor and miserable adorations.
I thank You for renewing in this daily Sacrifice the actual Sacrifice of the Cross offered on Calvary, in which You satisfy Divine justice for us poor sinners.
I thank You, dear Jesus, for having become the priceless Victim to merit for me the fullness of heavenly favors. Awaken in me such confidence in You that their fullness may descend ever more fruitfully upon my soul.
I thank You for offering Yourself in thanksgiving to God for all His benefits, spiritual and temporal, which He has bestowed upon me.
In union with Your offering of Yourself to Your Father in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, I ask for this special favor: (Mention your request).
If it be Your holy Will, grant my request. Through You I also hope to receive the grace of perseverance in Your love and faithful service, a holy death, and a happy
eternity with You in Heaven. Amen.O Lord, You have given us this Sacred Banquet, in which Christ is received, the memory of His Passion is renewed, the mind is filled with grace, and a pledge of future glory is given to us.
You have given them bread from Heaven.
Having all sweetness within.
Let us pray. God our Father, for Your glory and our salvation You appointed Jesus Christ eternal High Priest. May the people He gained for You by His Blood come to share in the power of His Cross and Resurrection by celebrating His Memorial in this Eucharist, for He lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.

O Jesus, since You have left us a remembrance of Your Passion beneath the veils of this Sacrament, grant us, we pray, so to venerate the sacred mysteries of Your Body and Blood that we may always enjoy the fruits of Your Redemption, for You live and reign forever.Amen.

The day before his death on the Cross, Christ instituted the Eucharist in the Upper Room. He also offered bread and wine, which “in his sacred hands” (Roman Canon) became his Body and his Blood, offered in sacrifice. Thus he fulfilled the prophecy of the old covenant linked to Melchizedek’s sacrificial offering. For this very reason—the Letter to the Hebrews recalls—”he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him, being designated by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek” (5:7-10).

5/17 Adam feels the honor he had lost being returned to him by Luisa

‘The Kingdom of The Divine Will in the midst of creatures.  Book of Heaven. The call of the creature to the Order, the Place and the Purpose for which he was created by God’

How in all the acts that Jesus did, His purpose was the Kingdom of the Divine Fiat. Adam feels the honor he had lost being returned to him.

 Luisa 7

Our Lord Jesus Christ to the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta, The Little Daughter of the Divine Will

VOLUME 20

 October 26, 1926
How in all the acts that Jesus did, His purpose was the Kingdom of the Divine Fiat. Adam eels the honor he had lost being returned to him.

As I continued to unite myself with the acts that Jesus did in Redemption, my always lovable Jesus told me: “My daughter (Luisa) all the acts I did in redeeming man, and even the miracles I performed during My Public Life, had no other purpose but to call back the Kingdom of the Supreme Fiat into the midst of creatures; and in the act of doing them, I asked My Celestial Father to make It known and to restore It in the midst of the human generations.  If I gave sight to the blind, My first act was to put to flight the darkness of the human will—the primary cause of the blindness of the soul and of the body, so that the light of My Will might illuminate the souls of many blind, and they might obtain the sight to look at My Will in order to love It, and their bodies also might be exempt from losing the sight.

“If I gave hearing to the deaf, first I asked My Father that they might acquire the hearing to hear the voices, the knowledges, the prodigies of My Divine Will, so that It might enter into their hearts as the way in order to dominate them, and there might be no more deaf in the world—either in the soul or in the body. Also in the dead I resurrected, I asked that souls might rise again in My Eternal Will—even those that were putrefied, and made more than cadavers by the human will.  And when I took the ropes to drive the profaners out of the temple, it was the human will that I was driving out, so that Mine might enter, reigning and dominating, and they might be truly rich in their souls and no longer subject to natural poverty.  And even when, triumphant, I entered into Jerusalem, in the midst of the triumph of the crowds, surrounded with honor and glory, it was the triumph of My Will that I established in the midst of the peoples.

“There was no act I did while being on earth in which I did not place My Will as Prime Act to be established once again in the midst of creatures, because that was the thing I most cared for. If it were not so, or if I did not do so—if in everything I worked and suffered I did not have the Kingdom of the Supreme Fiat as Prime Act to be restored in the midst of creatures—My coming upon earth would have brought a half good to the generations—not a complete one, and the glory of My Celestial Father would not have been completely reintegrated by Me.  In fact, since My Will is the origin of every good and the only purpose of Creation and Redemption, It is therefore the ultimate fulfillment of all Our works.  Without It, Our most beautiful works remain within a frame and without completion, because It alone is the crown of Our works and the seal that Our work is complete.  Therefore, for the honor and glory of the very work of Redemption, It was to have, as Prime Act, the purpose of the Kingdom of My Will.”

After this, I was beginning my round in the Divine Will, and going into the terrestrial Eden, in which Adam had done the first act of withdrawal of his will from the Divine, I said to my sweet Jesus: “My Love, I want to annihilate my will in Yours, that it may never have life, so that Your Will may have life in everything and forever, in order to repair for the first act that Adam did, and return to Your Supreme Volition all the glory as if Adam had never withdrawn from It.  Oh! how I wish to give back to him the honor he lost because he did his own will and rejected Yours.

“And I intend to do this act for as many times as all creatures have done their own will—the cause of all evils, and have rejected Yours—the origin and fount of all goods. Therefore I pray You that the Kingdom of the Supreme Fiat may come soon, so that everyone, from Adam up to all the creatures who have done their own will, may receive the honor and the glory that they lost, and Your Will may receive triumph, glory and Its fulfillment.”

Now, while I was saying this, my highest Good, Jesus, was moved and touched, and making my first father Adam present to me, let him himself tell me, with emphasis of love, all special: “Blessed daughter, finally my Lord God, after so many centuries, has delivered to the light of the day she who was to think about giving me back the honor and the glory that I lost, alas, by doing my will.  How I feel my happiness redoubled.

“Until now, no one has ever thought of giving me back that honor that I lost. Therefore I thank God profoundly for having delivered you to the light, and I thank you, the daughter dearest to me, for taking on the commitment of giving back to God the glory as if His Will had never been offended by me, and to me the great honor that the Kingdom of the Supreme Fiat be established once again in the midst of the human generations.  It is right that I give you the place that had been destined to me, as the first creature that came out of the hands of our Creator.”

After this, my lovable Jesus, clasping me to Himself, told me: “My daughter (Luisa) not only Adam but the whole of Heaven awaits your acts in My Will, in order to receive the honor that their human will has taken away from them.  You (Luisa)  must know that I have placed more grace in you(Luisa) than I placed in Adam, so that My Will might possess you (Luisa) and dominate you (Luisa) with triumph, and yours might feel honored never to have life, and to give the place to My Will.  In him I did not place My Humanity as his help and strength, and as cortege of My Will, because I did not have It then.  But I have placed It in you (Luisa), to provide you (Luisa) with all the necessary helps so that your will might remain at its place, and Mine might reign and, together with you (Luisa), might follow your rounds in My Eternal Volition in order to establish Its Kingdom.”

On hearing this, surprised, I said: “My Jesus, what are You saying?  It seems to me that You want to tempt me and make fun of me.  How is it possible that You have placed more grace in me than in Adam?”

And Jesus: “Certainly, certainly, My daughter.  I had to make it so that your will might be sustained by another Divine Humanity, so that it would not stagger, but remain firm in My Will.  Therefore, I am not making fun of you (Luisa), but I am telling you (Luisa) this, so that you (Luisa) correspond to Me and be attentive.”

5/16 The soul will possess as much glory, beatitude and happiness in Heaven, for as much Divine Will as she has enclosed on earth

‘The Kingdom of The Divine Will in the midst of creatures.  Book of Heaven. The call of the creature to the Order, the Place and the Purpose for which he was created by God’

How the soul will possess as much glory, beatitude and happiness in Heaven, for as much Divine Will as she has enclosed on earth.

Luisa 7

Our Lord Jesus Christ to the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta, The Little Daughter of the Divine Will

  VOLUME 20

 October 15, 1926
How the soul will possess as much glory, beatitude and happiness in Heaven, for as much Divine Will as she has enclosed on earth.

Continuing my usual round in the Supreme Will, I was saying to myself: “My Jesus, Your Will embraces and encloses everything, and I, in the name of the first creature who came out of Your creative hands, up to the last one who will be created, intend to repair for all the oppositions of the human wills made against Yours, and to take within me all the acts of Your adorable Will that creatures have rejected, in order to requite them all in love and adoration; in such a way that there may be no act of Yours without the correspondence of one act of mine, so that, in finding my little act as though bilocated in each one of Your acts, You may be satisfied, and may come to reign triumphantly upon earth.  Is it perhaps not upon the human acts that Your Eternal Fiat wants to find the support on which to dominate? Therefore, in each one of your acts, I offer You Mine as the field on which You can lay Your Kingdom.”

Now, while I was thinking and saying this, my always lovable Jesus moved in my interior and told me: “Little daughter of My Will (Luisa), it is just, it is necessary, it is a right of both sides—both yours (Luisa) and of My Will—that one who is Its child follow the multiplicity of the acts of My Will, and that My Will receive them into Its acts.  A father would be unhappy if he did not feel his child at his side, so as to be followed by his child in his acts; nor would the child feel loved by the father if, putting him aside, the father would not let himself be followed by his child.  Therefore, ‘Daughter of My Will (Luisa) and newborn in It’  means precisely this:  to follow all of Its acts as Its faithful daughter.

“In fact, you (Luisa) must know that, in Creation, My Will entered the field of action in the human acts of the creature; but in order to act, It wants the act of the creature within Its own, so as to carry out Its operating and be able to say: ‘My Kingdom is in the midst of My children, and right within their inmost acts.’ In fact, as much as the creature takes of My Will, so much do I extend My Kingdom in her, and she extends her Kingdom in My Will; but according to how much she lets Me dominate in her acts, so does she expand her boundaries in My Kingdom, and I give, and she takes more joy, more happiness, more goods, and more glory.

“In fact, it is established that in the Celestial Fatherland they will receive as much glory, beatitude and happiness, for as much of My Will as they have enclosed in their souls on earth. Their glory will be measured by that very Will of Mine that their souls will possess; nor will they be able to receive more, because their capacity and wideness is formed by that very Divine Will that they have done and possessed while living on earth.  And even if My liberality wanted to give them more, they would lack the space to contain it, and it would overflow outside.

“Now, My daughter (Luisa), of all that My Will has established to give to creatures, of all of Its acts, they have taken little—they have known little until now, because Its Kingdom has not only not been known, but not even possessed. Therefore, in Heaven It cannot give all Its complete glory, or all the joys and happiness It possesses, because It finds Itself in the midst of children who are incapable and of small stature.

“This is why It awaits the time of Its Kingdom with so much love and yearning—to have Its total dominion, and to give from Its Fiat everything It had established to give to creatures, therefore forming children who are capable of receiving all of Its goods. And only these children will make the glory for all the Blessed—for the children of the Kingdom of My Will, be completed in the Celestial Fatherland, because they have enclosed what My Will wanted, giving It free field of action and of dominion.  Therefore, they will have the ‘essential glory’, as they will have the capacity and the space to contain it, and, through them, the others will have the ‘accidental glory’; and, all together, they will enjoy the complete glory and the full happiness of My Will.  So, the Kingdom of the Supreme Fiat will be the full triumph of Heaven and of the earth.”

Then, I was thinking to myself: “In the ‘Our Father,’ Our Lord teaches us to say—to pray:  ‘Your Will be done.’ Now, why does He say that He wants us to live in It?”

And Jesus, always benign, moving in my interior, told me: “My daughter (Luisa), ‘Your Will be done’ that I taught in the ‘Our Father’ meant that all were to pray that they might at least do the Will of God.  And this is for all Christians and for all times; nor can anyone call himself a Christian if he does not dispose himself to do the Will of his Celestial Father.  But you have not thought of the other addition that comes immediately after:  ‘On earth as It is in Heaven.’  ‘On earth as It is in Heaven’ means to live in the Divine Will; it means to pray that the Kingdom of My Will may come on earth in order to live in It.

“In Heaven, they not only do My Will, but they live in It—they possess It as their own thing, and as their own Kingdom. And if they did It, but did not possess It, their happiness would not be full, because true happiness begins in the depth of the soul.  To do the Will of God does not mean to possess It, but to submit oneself to Its commands, while to live in It is possession.  Therefore, in the ‘Our Father’, in the words ‘Your Will be done’ is the prayer that all may do the Supreme Will, and in ‘on earth as It is in Heaven,’ that man may return into that Will from which he came, in order to reacquire his happiness, the lost goods, and the possession of his Divine Kingdom.”

5/15 PENTECOST

PENTECOST 3

When Jesus walked out of His Tomb and before He ascended into Heaven on the 40th day,

He promised the coming of the Comforter.

 Acts 1:4-5 4

And eating together with them, he commanded them, that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but should wait for the promise of the Father, which you have heard (saith he) by my mouth. For John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost, not many days hence.

As they waited for this promise of the Father to come true, Mary and the disiciples prayed a Novena of prayers, and then the Comforter came on the 50th day, overwhelming Our Lady and the Apostles in a scene that sounds very much like theexperience at Mt. Sinai, each with manifestations of fire, wind, and sound:

 Acts 2:1-4 1

And when the days of the Pentecost were accomplished, they were all together in one place: And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a mighty wind coming, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them parted tongues as it were of fire, and it sat upon every one of them: And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they began to speak with divers tongues, according as the Holy Ghost gave them to speak  The Holy Ghost inspired St. Peter to the point where his preaching, on that one day, brought 3,000 souls as among the “firstfruits” to God, a sort of reversal of the effects of the Sinai events:

 Exodus 32:26-29

Then standing in the gate of the camp, he said: If any man be on the Lord’s side let him join with me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him: And he said to them: Thus saith the Lord God of Israel: Put every man his sword upon his thigh: go, and return from gate to gate through the midst of the camp, and let every man kill his brother, and friend, and neighbour. And the sons of Levi did according to the words of Moses, and there were slain that day about three and twenty thousand men [New American Bible: “three thousand men”]. And Moses said: You have consecrated your hands this day to the Lord, every man in his son and in his brother, that a blessing may be given to you.

His Holiness St. Peter, witnessing the events of the Pentecost, recalling the darkness of Good Friday, and foretelling the coming destruction of Jerusalem forty years hence, saw this as a fulfilment of the prophecy of Joel:

…Remember that Pentecost marked the birth of the Church – and indeed, this is symbolism behind the Lucan report that the Holy Spirit descended, not only upon the apostles, but also upon the Virgin Mary who was with them (cf. Acts 1:14), a kind of recapitulation of the Annunciation scene. There, the Spirit overshadowed Mary in order that the Head of Christ’s Mystical Body might be conceived; here, the Spirit descends once again upon Mary in order that the Members of the Mystical Body might be conceived and brought to birth.

Pentecost from Day Thirty of the Queen of Heaven

In the Kingdom of the Divine Will

 The Teacher of the Apostles,

Dwelling and Center of the Nascent Church, and the Boat of Refuge.

The Descent of the Holy Spirit.

Lesson of the Queen of Heaven:

My blessed child, your words echo in my Heart, and feeling wounded, I pour Myself into you with my seas of graces. Oh, how they run toward my child, to give you the life of the Divine Will! If you are faithful to Me, I will leave you no more. I will always be with you, to give you the food of the Divine Will in each one of your acts, words and heartbeats.

Now listen to Me, my child. Our Highest Good, Jesus, has departed for Heaven and is now before His Celestial Father, pleading for His children and brothers, whom He has left upon earth. From the Celestial Fatherland, He looks at everyone – no one escapes Him; and His love is so great that He leaves His Mama on earth as comfort, help, lesson and company for His children and Mine.

Now, you must know that as my Son departed for Heaven, I remained together with the apostles in the cenacle, waiting for the Holy Spirit. They were all around Me, clinging to Me, and we prayed together; they did nothing without my advice. And when I began to speak to instruct them and to narrate some anecdotes about my Son which they did not know – as for example, the details of His birth, His baby tears, His loving traits, the incidents that happened in Egypt, the so many wonders of the hidden life in Nazareth… – oh, how attentive they were in listening to Me! They were enraptured in hearing of the so many surprises, the so many teachings that He had given Me, which were to serve for them. In fact, my Son had said little or nothing about Himself to the apostles, reserving for Me the task of making known to them how much He had loved them, and the details which only His Mother knew. So, my child, I was in the midst of my apostles more than the Sun of the day. I was the anchor, the wheel, the boat in which they found refuge, to be safe and sheltered from every danger. Therefore, I can say that I delivered the nascent Church upon my maternal knees, and that my arms were the boat in which I led Her to a safe harbor, and I still do.

Then the time came for the descent of the Holy Spirit, promised by my Son, in the cenacle. What a transformation, my child! As they were invested, they acquired new science, invincible strength, ardent love. A new life flowed within them, which rendered them intrepid and courageous, in such a way that they scattered throughout the whole world to make Redemption known, and to lay down their lives for their Master. I remained with beloved John, and was forced to leave Jerusalem, as the storm of persecution began. My dearest child, you must know that I still continue my Magisterium in the Church – there is nothing which does not descend from Me. I can say that I pour all Myself out for love of my children, and I nourish them with my maternal milk. Now, during these times, I want to display an even more special love by making known how my whole life was formed in the Kingdom of the Divine Will. Therefore I call you onto my knees, into my maternal arms, so that, forming a boat for you, you may be sure to live in the sea of the Divine Will. Greater grace I could not give you. O please! I beg you, make your Mama content! Come to live in this Kingdom so holy! And when you see that your will would want to have some act of life, come and take refuge in the safe boat of my arms, saying to Me: “My Mama, my will wants to betray me, and I deliver it to You, that you may put the Divine Will in its place.” Oh, how happy I will be if I am able to say: “My child is all Mine, because she lives of Divine Will.” And I will make the Holy Spirit descend into your soul, that He may burn away from you all that is human; and by His refreshing breath, He may rule over you and confirm you in the Divine Will.

 Little Sacrifice:

Today, to honor Me, you will recite seven Glory Be’s in honor of the Holy Spirit, praying to Me that His prodigies may be renewed over the whole holy Church.
